Feeling younger on the inside than she looked on the outside, this 68-year-old woman was concerned about the appearance of her face. She was most unhappy about the sagging skin around her jaw and the heaviness of her eyelids, both of which made her look consistently tired and worn out. After considering surgery for some time, she decided to find a Los Angeles plastic surgeon who had years of experience performing facial plastic surgery.

During her visit at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates, she expressed her concerns and asked her surgeon what he could do to turn back the clock. To treat the skin around her jaw, her surgeon recommended a short-incision facelift, which would tighten the lower half of her face with minimal scarring. To treat the sagging skin above her eyes, her surgeon recommended that she undergo blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, to remove excess skin and fatty deposits that weighed down her eyes. Her surgeon could very easily perform both procedures during the same surgery.

After she was given time to recover from her Los Angeles face lift and eyelid surgery, she returned to our office for her postoperative evaluation. Her "after" photos were taken, showing a fresh and awake appearance with firmer and more youthful-looking skin. When asked how she felt about her new appearance, she said that she was particularly impressed with how youthful her jowl line was.
