Details for Case #12574

Concerns with facial aging prompted this 56-year-old woman to research Southern California plastic surgery. After reading the positive reviews about Marina Plastic Surgery Associates, she set up a consultation to discuss her options for facial rejuvenation.

She was asked several questions regarding what she wanted to change about her skin. She mentioned that her skin seemed thinner and less firm as a result of aging and that she also noticed more lines and wrinkles around her eyes, mouth, and forehead. Additionally, she was worried that her under-eye area looked “sunken.” Based on her concerns, she was an excellent candidate for a dermal filler called “Scupltra,” which is used to restore facial volume and stimulate collagen production in the skin. Sculptra also helps to gradually increase skin thickness in the cheeks and bring back the skin’s resiliency.

The procedure took less than one hour and required no downtime. As her “after” photos show, her skin has an overall more lifted, youthful appearance and she has significant improvements in the smoothness and suppleness of the skin around her eye. She is happy with her look and looks forward to seeing her results improve over the next 6 weeks.
