Dr. David A. Stoker was selected by his colleagues to co-teach the course on liposuction and body sculpting for plastic surgeons at the 2006 annual meeting of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons is the largest organization in the world for board-certified plastic surgeons and plays a critical role for continuing education for surgeons in practice.

Dr. Stoker was honored to be chosen for the prestigious appointment. "It's a great feeling to be selected by your peers and colleagues to teach them," he said. "I'm pleased to have the opportunity to share my experience and approaches with some of the best surgeons in the world."

Dr. Stoker has gained national attention for his clinical research on power-assisted liposuction and combined cosmetic surgical procedures, such as tummy tucks, breast enhancement and facial surgery. Nicknamed the "mommy makeover," these combination procedures have become popular for mothers who want to restore their figures following pregnancy.

When asked about the content of his body reshaping course for other plastic surgeons, Dr. Stoker explained that he would emphasize safety, planning and artistry. David A. Stoker, MD, FACS, has been nationally recognized as a leading expert in liposuction. He performs hundreds of these procedures each year and is a pioneer in the use of power-assisted liposuction. He is author of the chapter, "Liposuction and Body Contouring," in a premier plastic surgery textbook.

The New York Times, in The New York Times Style Magazine, chose Dr. David A. Stoker as one of the top three surgeons in the United States for liposuction. The Dr. Phil Show also chose Dr. David A. Stoker as their plastic surgery expert.
