After years of sunbathing in the California sun, this 63-year-old woman had developed many age spots on her arms. She decided to visit Marina Plastic Surgery Associates to discuss her options for diminishing the appearance of age spots.
During her consultation, her surgeon recommended a Fraxel® laser treatment. The Fraxel laser system encourages collagen production and increases epidermal cell turnover, evening out the skin tone and making it look younger. The procedure is very comfortable and requires no downtime. Although multiple treatments may be required, optimal results leave the skin with fewer wrinkles and spots, smoother, and more evenly-toned. This patient had 2 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart.
