Patient Details
This is a 44 year old woman who came to the practice seeking some changes in the appearance of certain features on her face. One thing that she wanted to change was the thin appearance of her lips. She also wanted the lines surrounding her lips to be less apparent, which she said was a result of her smoking habits. To achieve these improvements, she met with one of the Marina Plastic Surgery professionals for skin care in Los Angeles.
After examining her facial features and skin type it was determined that Restylane® was the best option for meeting her expectations. Restylane is composed of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that helps provide elasticity and fullness. Over time, skin naturally loses hyaluronic acid, so injecting Restylane was a great choice for this patient since it is designed to restore the skin's volume and decrease wrinkles and folds.
With just 1 syringe of Restylane injected into the patients upper and lower lips, this patient's results turned out fantastic. She said she was thrilled to have a prettier pout and no more lipstick bleed into her smoker's lines. Her lips now have a much fuller look and the skin surrounding her lips looks very youthful.
