After losing over 100 pounds, this young woman was uncomfortable with the extra skin and uneven abdominal fat that remained. At 26, she was proud of her new body, but was disappointed with her reduced breast size and wished she could fit better into her new, slimmer clothes. After hearing about the plastic surgeons at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates, she decided to schedule a time to talk over her choices for a Beverly Hills area plastic surgery procedure. In her consultation she shared her goals and her weight loss history with her surgeon, who recommended a tummy tuck, liposuction, and breast augmentation.
Tummy tuck and liposuction are both very common choices for patients after weight loss, and many women will also opt for breast surgery to reverse sagginess or enhance volume. For the liposuction part of her procedure this woman's surgeon recommended power-assisted liposuction (PAL), which allows larger amounts of fat to be removed very gently, reducing the risk of bruising. This patient's firm skin made her a good fit for PAL alone, but in some cases the surgeons might recommend pairing PAL with another technique such as Smartlipo™ that will stimulate faster skin tightening.
This patient's "after" photos show that her plastic surgery helped balance out her figure very nicely.
