Breast Asymmetry Correction Case #8687 Gallery
This 35 year old woman was bothered by her large breast size and downward-pointing nipples. She wanted breasts that were in better proportion with the rest of her body and that had a more flattering contour. She had been considering breast reduction in Southern California for some time and finally decided to take action.
At her consultation, her surgeon recommended bilateral breast reduction and a breast lift using the Laser Bra procedure. Before surgery, she had a 36 DD breast size, and the weight of her breasts had caused them to droop considerably, a condition known by the medical term ptosis. In addition to the breast drooping, her surgeon also noted rather prominent breast asymmetry, with the left breast being larger and sagging lower than the right.
During her surgery, 440 grams (a little under 1 pound) of excess tissue was removed from the right breast, while 570 grams (about 1.25 pounds) of tissue was removed from the left. Using skin that is normally discarded as part of the breast lift procedure, her surgeon created an internal attachment from the breast to the chest wall to provide increased natural support and increase the length of time her breasts should remain in an elevated position.
By combining a Beverly Hills Breast Reduction along with a mastopexy using the Laser Bra technique, this patient has been able to achieve a substantially improved breast shape and enhanced comfort.
