Concerned about looking "tired and old," this 48-year-old woman became interested in finding a non-surgical treatment for the bags under her eyes and her deep nasal labial folds. After examining her face, her surgeon concluded that two types of wrinkle fillers, Restylane® and Radiesse® would best address her concerns. Her surgeon used 2 syringes of Restylane under her eyes and 3 syringes on Radiesse on her cheeks and nasal labial folds.
Restylane is comprised of the natural chemical hyaluronic acid, which is produced in the body throughout a person's lifetime. However, as we age, our hyaluronic acid production diminishes, leaving our skin less elastic and deflated. With Restylane, the hyaluronic acid is restored, which helps to plump the skin and make it look fresher and fuller. This patient's other treatment, Radiesse, is made of a compound that naturally stimulates collagen production, making the skin look firmer and healthy after injection.
After her Los Angeles Restylane and Radiesse treatments, this patient saw great improvement in her appearance in a few short days. The bags below her eyes were completely diminished and the folds around her nose and mouth are all but gone. When asked how she felt about her results, she said that she was very pleased.
